Furthermore…

On the way into our recently remodeled church this morning a friend I met whispered to me “Might as well go face-to-face in that new confessional because he can see who you are when you walk in.”

I whispered back  “Get some of those funny eyeglasses with a mustache!”

Christ did say “Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them”(John 20:22, 23).  That seems to imply that the Lord didn’t intend the sacrament for anonymous nobodys,  so let’s leave the disguises at home.
