PRAYING AND CRYING
Our parish is giving us the opportunity to get together and pray the rosary during May, Mary’s month. We had a pretty good turnout. I was doing all right until I started thinking, along about the fourth decade, that I could be offering it up for my deceased parents. Crying, I lost most of my voice, and had to keep taking off my glasses and dabbing my eyes, along with wiping my nose. Not ideal.
I enjoy praying aloud, and singing along with the congregation. I’m thinking that no one noticed the tears, because I was sitting toward the back, near the new Mary statue. I don’t mind if she noticed. Or Jesus.
