Comments(0) I went to a Day of Recollection recently, but I never got a chance to use a cheeky line that was running through my head: Who needs this? We have too many collections already!
One priest giving a talk told about a well known painting by a Polish artist that shows Mary hanging up the laundry outside, while little Jesus plays nearby. Father said she was getting clean clothes ready for Jesus on to wear Sunday. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it…
I can identify with the subject tho. I like to hang up my laundry outside here in Florida, and it’s one of the holiest things I do. You never saw my laundry, you never saw so many holes!
